We start the tour along the west coast of São Miguel, we climb to the “pico do Carvão”. We continue the walk to the natural park of “Lagoa do Canário” and then we visit the viewpoint “Grota do Inferno” with its imposing view over the volcanic crater of Sete Cidades and other lakes such as “Lagoa Rasa”, “Santiago” and “Lagoa Blue”. Then we stop at the most emblematic viewpoint of the Azores, “Vista do Rei” to admire the green and blue lagoon and learn the reason for this name. We have the opportunity to experience the peace and tranquility of the parish of the seven cities. Finally, we visit the oldest pineapple plantation in Ponta Delgada, dating back to the 19th century.

On this half-day tour to the west of the island, "Sete Cidades", we will start the day at your accommodation or hotel and start the tour continuing along the west coast of the island of São Miguel and up to “Pico do Carvão” where you will be possible to observe much of the north and south coast of the island with breathtaking views!
We continue the walk to the natural park of “Lagoa “do Canário” to observe the first small lagoon of the day and it is possible to take a short walk to the viewpoint of “Grota do Inferno” with its imposing view over the volcanic crater of Sete Cidades. and other lakes such as "Lagoa Rasa", "Santiago" and "Lagoa Azul".
Afterwards, we will stop at the most emblematic viewpoint of the Azores, "Vista do Rei" to admire the green and blue lagoon and learn the reason for this name.
We then start the descent towards the crater to make a stop by the lakes to observe them in a different way and experience the peace and tranquility of this place and get to know the parish of Sete Cidades.
Before returning to the south coast of the island, we will stop at the viewpoint of "Escalvado" to observe the parish of Mosteiros and its imposing rocks in the sea and see the "Ponta da Ferraria"
Our last stop will be at the oldest pineapple plantation in Ponta Delgada to see how the fruits are grown in glass greenhouses, using unique techniques and produced in São Miguel since the 19th century.
